UN Moves Office For Asbestos Removal
A temporary office opened today to house UN workers relocated because of problems, including asbestos, in the headquarters building.
The $140 million temporary building will be used to host conferences while the headquarters building is renovated according to The LA Times.
The article says there have been numerous asbestos abatement projects in the Secretariat building, where more than 1,000 staff members still work. It says that building is slated for work in March.
