MoisturePlus: Woman Sues Over Contact Lens Solution

A lawsuit seeking class action status has been filed against Advanced Medical Optics, the company that manufacturers Complete Moisture Plus contact lens solution. Nicole Lazar has been named the plaintiff in the lawsuit, which was filed on the behalf of California consumers who bought MositurePlus but were not injured from using it.

Woman Sues Over Contact Lens Solution

A spokesman for Complete Moisture Plus said that the company does not comment on pending legal action. Earlier in the week, a man sued AMO, saying that he developed Acanthamoeba keratitis after using the product. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says that there are 138 confirmed cases of of Acanthamoeba since January 2005.
